Week Thirteen
Last week we went over how to find the area of a revolving object around the x-axis. This seems easy enough to grasp visually, however plugging it in correctly and doing all the individual steps correctly is a different story. I have a lot of practicing to do in order to get where I want to be for next week's test. We've been told that the test is all on integration so it will be nice to know what area to study in more detail instead of a broad, daunting huge amount to study. I"ll need to be in the math lab on campus all of Saturday to study with my professor to be sure I have a firm grasp on the material. Over the weekend I found this link to help me grasp what's going on as well: http://www.cliffsnotes.com/study_guide/Volumes-of-Solids-of-Revolution.topicArticleId-39909,articleId-39907.html
